How to Make Creme Brulee

I. Introduction

Have you ever wanted to do something special for someone but didn’t know how? Have you ever wanted to impress someone by making them something special? Well, you may not know this but Creme Brulee is a simple delicious dessert you can make with just some time and patience. This dessert can impress anyone. If you ahve a date that you want to surprise with a special treat, Creme Brulee is the perfect choice to make a great impression.

II. Body

A. Equipment
1. Bowl
2. Fine wire mesh seive
3. Water Bath
4. Ramekins (or heat resistant cups)
5. Wooden spoon
6. Saucepan
7. Measuring cup and spoons

B. Ingredients
1. 2 cups Heavy Cream
2. 3/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3. 3 large eggs
4. 1/2 cup Sugar

C. Procedure
1. Heat Cream in saucepan
2. Mix eggs and sugar
3. Pour cream into egg mix
4. Drain through seive
5. Pour into Ramekins in waterbath
6. Preheat oven 270 degrees
7. Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours
8. Cool and cover in ref. 8 to 48 Hrs.
9. Blot water and add glaze

D. Caramel Glaze

1. Lightly dust with sugar
2. Torch or broiler
3. Enjoy!
i. (also can make simple syrup if storing longer)
